To the student: The order of the classes is designed to flow from begginner, to intermediate, to advanced, and then (in some cases) beyond. The easiest way to determine where you belong is to check off the skills in each category before choosing the course level. All beginner/introductory class participants are expected to have basic computer skills. A basic computer class is available. Just follow the link. Entering a class at an inappropriate level will only lead to your becoming frustrated overwhelmed, and disappointed. We want every student to get the most out of every class, so if you are not sure if your skills are adequate for the next level, take the preceeding level to brush up and gain confidence. You will be glad you did. To the class coordinator: Consider the skill levels of the potential students and their experience and knowledge with the chosen program (or other programs) when determining whether a 6 hour or 12 hour class should be scheduled. Students with a higher skill on the computer, in general, seem to be able to absorb the courseware in a full day (6 hours), whereas students who are not savvy computer users, or don't use the computer as often, or use only select programs may need to split the course into 2 days (12 hours) to derive the most from the materials presented. Many times split classes (a week or two apart) give the student time to use and feel comfortable with the course materials and are better prepared for day 2. You may also choose to create a custom task-oriented class choosing from all/any of the curriculum stated. And there are always classes available to simply update the seasoned user on what is new in a program or offering a tips/tricks class on any program. Workshop classes are available upon request to suit your individual needs. These are days devoted to a specific programs and issues students may be having with those programs. Students bring their own work and, with the assistance of the trainer, learns the more advanced techniques of solving their individual problems.
